Local Celebrity Chef John Howie Teams With Conner Homes To Design Signature Kitchens In Kirkland

BELLEVUE, WASH. (PRWEB) JANUARY 15, 2021

Conner Homes, a legacy Washington-based homebuilder, has partnered with renowned chef John Howie to design and build kitchens in Kirkland’s soon-to-be-launched Heron home development. The inaugural Chef John Howie Signature Kitchens will feature personal touches inspired by Howie’s home and restaurant kitchens.

Coming soon to the Holmes Point area of Kirkland, Wash., Conner Homes will construct five new luxury homes just west of Juanita Drive near the shores of Lake Washington. Beautifully appointed and carefully designed for today’s discerning homebuyer, the spacious residences will feature open floorplans and covered, oversized lakeview decks. Floorplans will include up to five bedrooms, as well as media rooms and in-home offices. Each bespoke design features architect- and designer-inspired touches, including Thermador appliances, luxury master suites, and high-end finishes. Homes will range from 3,500 to 3,800 square feet and start in the $2 millions.

The homes’ gourmet kitchens are in talented hands. Named an “Outstanding Restauranteur” nominee by the James Beard Foundation, John Howie’s influence on the Pacific Northwest’s culinary scene is unparalleled. Spanning seafood, steaks, and spirits, Howie’s handiwork is visible throughout the region. His first restaurant, Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar, opened to critical acclaim in 2002, followed shortly by John Howie Steak, SPORT Restaurant & Bar, Beardslee Public House & Brewery, and Wildwood Spirits Company. Howie has collected numerous accolades and loyal customers while investing in philanthropical efforts to help communities in need.

“I’ve spent the past few months sketching kitchen ideas alongside some of the greatest minds in home development to design innovative features for Heron’s future homeowners,” said Chef Howie.

The Chef John Howie Signature Kitchens will include luxury Woodbrook cabinets, slab stone counters in multiple finishes, built-in pull-outs for cookware, custom cutting boards designed by Chef Howie, a built-in spice drawer, a custom pull-out canister pantry, built-in garbage and recycling bins, oversized kitchen center islands, a custom breadboard, and glass cabinet doors. Chef Howie’s personally curated appliances include a 48-inch range with four gas burners, two induction burners, a sous vide, a 30-inch double wall oven with convection and steam assist, a 42-inch built-in refrigerator/freezer and built-in wine storage.

“We are thrilled to launch this new kitchen concept with Chef John Howie,” said Michael Lorenz, Conner Homes president. “Kitchens have long represented the heart of the modern home. Now more than ever, they deserve extra care and consideration. We welcome John Howie into our portfolio of homes and look forward to seeing this partnership through as part of our new development in Kirkland.”

Conner Homes and Chef Howie will announce a number of additional inspiring projects in the coming months, as two longtime Pacific Northwest brands join forces to showcase their shared passions for cooking, kitchens, safety, and community outreach.
